Anzac Day
We had a remembrance commemoration for Anzac Day. The juniors had coloured poppies earlier in the week to make a wreath. Caleb Y helped lay our wreath under the flag pole. We watched the flag being lowered to half mast. We sang The Last Anzac song and listened to the Ode of Remembrance. After the ceremony we shared some Anzac biscuits that Olivia and her mum had made. Thanks for your thoughtfulness Claudia and Olivia.

ReplyDeleteHi. We're pleased you liked the biscuits! The girls and me had much fun baking them and spending some time together in the kitchen, talking about ANZAC and all those brave soldiers! There's so much we can learn from history and it's always good to remember and to talk about it - most of all over baking some yummy biscuits ;-) I look forward to seeing more photos and stories from you all :-) Claudia
